My Mom Used To Give Us A Chocolate Bar

Well, you did it. Spring Break. Of Montreal - "Requiem for O.M.M.2" You can lift the sun up with your hands. It's not even warm. [Buy] The Books - "An Animated Description of Mr. Maps." Dark and epic. Sean used the word 'sucks' to describe this. I will use the word 'human'. I know it's variations on a theme, but syllables and cymbals were never such a dangerous pair as in this song. Turn it up loud so "Stealer! Liar! Thief! Gambler! Fornicator!" will hit you as hard as it hits me. [Buy] okay, that's my week. bye for now. God bless Mom, Dad, Meaghan, Stephanie, and Danny. thank god for the books. good stuff. Posted by will at February 18, 2005 7:54 AMnormally, i tend to agree with sean. However, he's just being plain old silly - this is better than "sucks." Posted by ben at February 18, 2005 5:31 PMWhat a great week. What great music. You left the element on. Posted by Nora Burn at February 18, 2005 10:16 PMThe new Books stuff is amazing. I don't know how anybody could think it sucks, unless they don't like that type of music in the first place. Then it would make sense to me. Posted by Derek at February 20, 2005 12:49 PMOverall, I think Lost and Safe isn't so good, this song had some potential at the start but the vocals just don't work for me. More than anything all the typical books elements are here but seem gimmicky this time around without the elements playing off of each other as much as they did in the two previous albums. Posted by jmeister at February 21, 2005 1:51 AMOf Montreal are a fun bunch, but Sean's right about The Books. Oy gevalt. Posted by Paul at February 21, 2005 4:25 PMThis Of Montreal song is brilliant. The catchiest thing I've heard in a long time. I can't stop listening to it! Thanks! Posted by aurora at February 25, 2005 1:42 PMwhat's the deal with the new Books record? they're my favorite band at least once a week.
