Please note: MP3s are only kept online for a short time, and if this entry is from more than a couple of weeks ago, the music probably won't be available to download any more.
i just arrived back in edinburgh after a weekend in hamburg (where there is snow! currywurst! and liquorice!) and so i visited this site and the dropcash thing dan put up and good lord, my friends... in less than six hours, you funded Said the Gramophone for the next year. i am speechless. thank you so, so much. i am not sure you can know how much your support means to us. your generosity is overwhelming. and no more stupid funding drives for another year! yay! as i catch up with things here i will be writing back to all those who contributed, or we will, or something. i didn't even get to put up this image i had cooked up for tonight! (it wasn't going to have the "never mind" bit.) ![]() Comments
wow, too quick for me. congrats, guys! Posted by Chris at March 13, 2006 10:51 AMThe categorical imperative is ALIVE! Posted by Matthew in London at March 13, 2006 11:48 AMGeez, what does a guy have to do to contribute to his favorite mp3blog? Be faster than me, I guess. Stupid British Library internet restrictions! Congratulations, though. I think that's a pretty good testament to how appreciated this site is. Posted by gooblar at March 13, 2006 1:31 PM[stands waving pompoms] Posted by Tuwa at March 13, 2006 1:56 PMfact is I did all the fund you needed in just one click ;) Nah, just kidding, gave one dollar. Posted by Moka at March 13, 2006 6:34 PMOk, I would donate if you accepted Brazilian coins by air mail as it's the only way I can donate, but as the goal was reached, and you don't accept this kind of payment, I also thank for the ones who donated for you, guys! Posted by Dine at March 13, 2006 10:32 PMI was too slow, but would have been glad to help out with your costs. I have found some great stuff through your site. Posted by Rob at March 13, 2006 10:43 PMi too was missed the fundraising post... but obviously the fact that stg target was reached in such a short period of time is a testament to just how inspiring this site is. hey i'm looking forward to meeting some of you folk at atp II. x, nat Posted by nat at March 14, 2006 4:31 PMPost a comment |
